Meet Dr. Christopher Klein

Dr. Christopher Klein is a graduate of Marion High School in Marion. He accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy where he earned his Bachelor of Science. While serving for five years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Klein earned a Master of Arts in human resource management from Pepperdine University. He attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton for his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.

After graduation, he completed a two-year residency at the St. Louis University Department of Orthodontics, where he earned his Master of Science in orthodontics. Dr. Klein remains current in all facets of the orthodontic field by taking more than 50 hours of continuing education each year.

Dr. Klein serves on the faculty at St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education, where he received the Outstanding Instructor of the Year award in 2002. He has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics in Southern Illinois since 1985.

Outside the Office

Dr. Klein resides in Mount Vernon with his wife Dianne. They enjoy many family activities with their son Brian and daughter-in-law Jane, including golfing, boating, and traveling. They also stay very busy loving (and babysitting) their four grandchildren: Eddie, Marie, Eloise, and Bridget.

Dr. Klein supports many local youth groups and Christian organizations, including the YMCA, Brennan Klein Field Foundation, Fellowship of Christian AthletesUnited Way of Mount Vernon and Marion, Angels on Assignment, and United Methodist Children’s Home.
